was birthed in 1997 in the living room of Pastors Bob & Pam Armstrong’s house
with a small group of approximately 10 believers. It was and remains our belief
that God would raise up a church that could reach across generations and ethnic
lines to build a house of faith for His glory.
Living Water held its’ first
public service in a hotel conference room in Springfield, Illinois with
approximately 40 believers and the power of the Holy Spirit was present from the
very beginning. Living Water relocated to a gymnasium in one of the local high
schools for one year as we became more established. Living Water then moved to a
more permanent location on Normandy Road in Springfield where we remained for 5
years.
In the Spring of 2003 Living
Water merged with another church that had several acres of land, an existing
building and several people hungry for more of the Lord and His presence. Living
Water completely remodeled the facility both inside and out.
Living Water Church continues to grow in number and influence and is making an impact upon the community of Springfield as it continues to pursue the presence of the Holy Spirit and express the loving heart of the Father.
